This photo from just a few years ago shows how overgrown the area was before Coast Artillery Museum volunteers started clearing brush back from the structures to help protect them and to open up the two view sheds. It was taken from the top of the GPMTCP looking into pit 2 of Battery Ash. You can see just a bit of Whidbey Island above the low trees in the center of the photo.
