This is the bottom of the suction pipe in the airlock, the handle has a wingnut lock on it so it can't be turned accidentally. This line was the alternate intake to the air filters. When the airlock decontamination system was in use, filtered air would be blown through the decontamination pipe in this room, then this intake would collect the contaminated air and send it back to the filters to be cleaned again.
