The building was completed and turned over to the Army in July 1943 and is built into a hill over a tunnel between Batteries Ash and Benson. One of the two operations rooms was protected from a gas attack by an airlock and filter, the other side was not.

All photos are from March 2013 unless otherwise identified. Vandals had painted a lot of graffiti in this building but in July of 2013 a group of volunteers from the Navy base in Bremerton painted over all the graffiti that shows in these pictures.
