rcwgasproof.jpg

This is the official document (corrected to December 14, 1943) describing the structure. It shows that it was transferred to the Army on July 26, 1943. The heavy black line outlines the area with full gas protection. Room 1 was the airlock, room 2 was the collector (filter) room and room 3 was the command post operations room. Room 4 could be sealed off from the other side of the building and the outdoors, so it may have had limited gas protection, but it had no direct air source from the filters and no vents other than the observation slits so there would be no air circulation when it was sealed up.
